I’ve been working on Scorpion pose for a while now. Ever since I started back to yoga after the birth of my son in March, (3 weeks postpartum thank you very much), I’ve been working on core strength (aren’t we always working on that?). I am always practicing inversions, and hoping someday I’ll get there. Every week I feel stronger, which is a great thing! So I’m in class last week with a great instructor, and I move mat to the back wall to practice my scorpion during backbend time. She comes over and says, you don’t need the wall for your scorpion! I was like, really?! Sometimes you just need that extra push to get yourself away from the wall…
