What a beautiful month we had this August! I hope you enjoyed the warm summer days and the cool nights as much as we did. We soaked in every bit August, one of our favorite months! ☀️ We did a bit of traveling this month, so we didn’t have too many new recipes in the works.
I am sad to report that our own garden, at our new house, was an epic failure. Unfortunately, there has been a water ban in the town throughout most of the summer which didn’t help, but we planted in a rather shady part of the yard, and it showed. We hardly got any of our own crops this year which was a utter disappointment to all of us since we are so used to an abundance of tomatoes and zucchini, just to name a few. Here’s to hoping for a better growing season next year! We will try again for sure!

Recipes this month:
- We made many turkey burgers with zucchini, which is basically my zucchini popper recipe, just make them into burgers instead so we can grill them!
- Tuna Salad with basil and celery
- More salads and smoothies made with kale and swiss chard of course, just like in July.
What delicious recipes did you cook up this month with your veggies? Keep up the good work!
Until next time,
